Miguel And The Living Dead

Sometimes Polish Punk or New Wave bands are better known abroad than at home. One such band years ago was Miguel And The Living Dead, who became known in Europe thanks to the release of their first album "Alarm !!!" (2005) on the Austrian label Strobelight. The band was formed in 2001 in Warsaw by guitarist Nerve 69, who was joined by: Slavic (vocals), Killer (bass), Burza (keyboards) and Niuniek El Diablo (drums). In 2007, the leader emigrated to the UK and the band, rarely touring, essentially broke up. However, they left a second excellent and (on Polish soil) unique album "Postcards From The Other Side" with songs such as Invitation, Dark Pralat, Alarm!!!, Legion Of The Wicked, Bonehead and Batcave, maintained in English and American classics of Death Rock and Gothic Rock, Horror Punk and Psychobilly. A very good and nicely produced album, sounding classic yet fresh and modern. It's a shame that the band sort of broke up halfway through and didn't exist for a longer period of time.
