The Squintz

The Squintz was a Brazilian Punk Rock band formed in 2009 in Brasília, Distrito Federal, Brazil.

Their style is heavily inspired by traditional 1977 Punk Rock and early Hardcore, resulting in a raw, fast, and melodic sound.

The four members (all of whom had been working in the Punk/HC scene for quite some time) represented the fulfillment of a long-cherished desire: to create a band directly inspired by classic punk rock groups, especially British bands like Stiff Little Fingers, The Clash, Chords, The Vibrators, The Jam, Buzzcocks, and a vast number of others associated with the punk rock boom, whose peak is usually cited as being in 1977.

Line up: Caio – Lead Vocals/Guitar, Moa – Guitar/Backing Vocals, Hery (Herynaldo Costa) – Bass, Sonic – Drums.
