Rocketsuit Rogue

Matty Lewis is an American rock musician, best known as the former co-frontman and rhythm guitarist of the Punk Rock/Rapcore band Zebrahead. He joined Zebrahead in 2005, replacing departing vocalist Justin Mauriello. He left the band in April 2021 due to personal reasons, the grueling touring lifestyle, and a desire to spend more time with his family. After briefly experimenting with a solo country project under the name Mendon Hale, Lewis returned to his roots. He formed a new melodic punk-rock outfit called Rocketsuit Rogue.

This new project Matty Lewis his songwriting combines personal lyrics with a cinematic sense of imagery that draws heavily on classic sci-fi and apocalyptic themes.

The sonic aesthetic leans on crowd-pleasing melodies, edgy guitars, and vocals that oscillate between gritty intensity and pop catchiness. For the recording, they worked with producers who favor a clear, powerful band sound; as a result, song structure and arrangement move into the foreground, while the production of each track still leaves room for sweeping, infectious choruses.

Line up: Matty Lewis - Rhytm guitar/Lead vocals, Colin Ridge - Drums. For the upcoming live shows, Matty has recruited additional touring musicians on lead guitar and bass guitar to deliver the full, powerful wall of sound on stage.
