The Oisters/Jimmy Flame
The Oisters is an Oi! projekt (by Jimmy Flame) from Frederick, Maryland, USA.
Dirty, filthy, scumbag Oi! & Punk Rock!
James Christopher Monger (aka Jimmy Flame) citing influences that include AC/DC, the Dead Boys, Johnny Thunders, the Ramones, Joy Division, Nirvana, “pretty much all Oi! music”, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jimmy Flame describes himself as "a multi-instrumentalist, hot-like-fire rock 'n' roll machine, ready to blaze faces with his hot licks, cheap pics and molten ivory-tickling fingers."
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Flame is also a seasoned professional wrestler, and has composed entrance music for the likes of Kevin Sullivan, Brutal Bob Evans, Cheeseburger, and Wildman Kongo. After cutting his teeth in the local music scene in Baltimore, Flame relocated to Seattle in the mid-'90s and founded the SexXy Boys. Employing a high-energy mix of hard rock, post-grunge, and punk, Jimmy Flame & the SexXy Boys brought their working-class/bar band aesthetic to clubs across the country, landing an underground hit in 1999 with the gritty "Ass Pocket of Rock 'n' Roll." The band continued to tour and record, releasing five albums and a single over the next decade, before calling it quits in 2009. Since then, the self-described "infamous gentleman and bona fide agent of good times" has continued to record (and wrestle), releasing his music via streaming sites.
Jimmy Flame currently lends his musical talents to a number of punk bands, including the seminal MD hardcore outfit Out Of Spite and DD Allin and The Market Street Sluts, a tribute to the late GG Allin.
