The Gimme Gimme Gimmes

 

The Gimme Gimme Gimmes (aka The Gimmes) are a Punk Rock band from Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

The Gimmes are "a punk rock 'tribute to a parody band" that mix songs tenuously based on Scottish musicians, writers and performers with classic punk.

Their first album, Ajockalypse Now released in July 2016 (gained good airplay across several radio stations in the UK and Europe), then followed  Live In Berlin live album (recorded at Wild At Heart Club in Berlin).

On the band's next LP, Combat Jock, comes with a bonus CD that has vocal contributions from 11 invited guest vocalists such as Wattie Buchan (The Exploited), TJ McFaull (The Barstool Preachers), Side & Stoko (Evil Blizzard), Jim Threat (Jim Threat & the Vultures), Bammy (The Macc Lads), Henry Cluney and Ave Tsarion (XSLF), Peter (Peter and the Test Tube Babies), Martin Metcalfe (The Filthy Tongues), Ken Bonsall (Ferocious Dog), Jane Titine Lavoix and Max Splodge (Splodgenessabounds).

Other highlights include East Coast Tour of the USA, European tour playing Holland, Germany, Ireland finishing with two festivals in Bonnie Scotland Many pre-match performances for the Tartan Army before Scotland international football matches, including Wembley, London Festival appearances including Boomtown Fair CH11, Farmyard Biker Rally, Kelso Scooter Rally, The Great Northern Mod & Ska, MoFest, T in the Port, Party in the Park, The Eyes Have It, Once Upon a Time in the West, Tribfest, they received critical acclaim for performances at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. 

They have opened for a few of the more renowned bands like Bad Manners, Cockney Rejects, Macc Lads, The Lurkers, Ferocious Dog, The Ramonas, XSLF……
