Tempo 38

 

Tempo 38 is a HC/Punk rock band based in Hawke's Bay, a province on the East Coast of New Zealand. Formed in 1999 the bands sound began in the vein of early to mid-90’s punk rock then later moving in a more crossover hardcore direction. The band carved out a reputation across New Zealand and Australia through relentless shows and releases, including four EPs and a split album with Australian hardcore outfit Provoke.

2024 sees the band reuniting after an extended hiatus in which members went on to form other bands including Devils Elbow, Diamond Dead, Oxboy & Thunderhorse.

Line up: Matt Parry - Vocals Kane Riley - Bass Alec Withers - Drums/Vocals,  Jamie Derbidge - Guitar/Backing Vocals, Adam Phillips - Guitar.
