Britva (Бритва)

Бритва is Street Punk band from Russia. The band was founded in March 2002. Its original lineup consisted of four very young teenagers who were obsessed with bands like the Sex Pistols, The Exploited, Purgen, and Grazhdanskaya Oborona. Sanya Britva remains the band’s only original member to this day. They immediately recorded a bunch of songs on magnetic tapes and audio cassettes. Their first live performances took place in early 2003. That’s when the lineup changed. They played a series of shows at various St. Petersburg clubs alongside some fairly well-known Punk bands. In 2004, the first cassette album, “Не будь как все” was released. This was followed by concerts with inspiring musician friends from the bands Komatóz and Distress. Between 2005 and 2007, the lineup changed several times, and a number of recordings were made (which would later be released). The years 2008–2009 were marked by tours across Russian cities. In 2010, the studio album was released an album that the musicians themselves had been waiting for for several years.
