The Hopeless Abandoned

The Hopeless Abandonded is “south Pembrokeshire’s premier Street Punk band”, in a local scene dominated by Metal and Emo bands, “The Abandoned” stand out with their fusion of anger and melody. Led by Ashley Shannon (Formerly of True Sounds Of The Revolution and current second guitarist with Punk legends Picture Frame Seduction) on guitar and vocals, with “Eff” on bass, the trio is completed by Nick “The Pirate” on drums. The Hopeless Abandoned recorded their debut, self-titled EP at the end of 2008 at the local Rooftop Studios, produced by Alex Cooper (singer and guitarist with Indie band Persona B). The EP betrays their influences of 70s UK Punk bands such as the U.K. Subs and Cock Sparrer alongside the later State-side offerings of early Green Day and Rancid, another clear influence is the work of folk singer Billy Bragg especially in the song “Everything In Between”.
