Modry Tanky

Modrý Tanky were a Prague Post-Punk band active betveen 1987 until 1991, playing mainly during the former regime. Strongly anti-militaristic lyrics, which can be compared to H.N.F. in depth. Overall they were rather ahead of their time. The band Modrý Tanky was founded in November 1986 by Václav Kunc when he was lured to sing by his classmate from primary school. The original line-up was marginal, lasting about two months, so the only good thing was that a certain Patrik Eler lived in the house where the band rehearsed in the basement and became its drummer. After changing a few guitarists (supposedly there were supporters of both Eurodisco and Heavy Metal among them!), the line-up finally settled down in this form: Václav Kunc (voc), Patrick "Tlusťoch" Eler (ds), Ian "Pudding" Gregar (g), Lukáš "Brouk" Brouček (bg). Only Pudding and Brouk had playing experience (they were also in the school band P.O.P.).
