Expo

Expo was Switzerland Punk from 1978, actually Expo are the Nasal Boys who changed their name in 1978.

Expo emerged fluently from the Nasal Boys on March 5, 1978. Although in March they still did 3 concerts under the Nasal Boys name. A month later, the band members signed a record deal with CBS and immediately lost their credibility in the local Punk scene. This immediately had the consequence that they were hardly ever asked for insider concerts and mostly at festivals (e.g. Abtwiler Open Air, today the St.Galler Openair) and "major" concerts (e.g. on September 24th in the Volkshaus Zurich as the opening act for Blondie) played. In other words, their management took over these and other tasks from now on. On May 15th they flew to London to record their only album with producer Dave Goodman (Sex Pistols, Slits, Chelsea etc.). They also played some gigs, e.g. in the music machine or speakeasy. Almost 1 month later they return to Zurich. Their album "Not-A-Talk-A" was released in the last week of September and after that their guitarist Rudolph Dietrich quit.
