Marco Luponero & The Loud Ones

Staying true to the spirit of classic punk, hard rock and heavy metal, Marco Luponero & The Loud Ones unleash their energetic and mean rock 'n' roll on the world armed with straightforward songs, powerful melodies, and a healthy dose of societal critique. 
Following the 2019 demo Radlands Battlesnake, the six-song EP Empire Of The Damned released in the spring of 2020 was the first real sign of what kind of path the ex-Terrorwheel and Altaria frontman had chosen for his solo outfit. The EP featured the powerful horror-themed banger ”Sometimes They Come Back” as well as a re-recording of ”Rebel Rider”, a biker anthem that had originally become something of a local hit for Marco’s old band Sgt. Pepperoni in their Finnish hometown. Listeners were also presented with a punkier side of the half-Italian hard rocker through songs like ”Ignoramus” and ”Stop Creating Monsters”. 
In 2022 the band released their full-length debut, ”Life & Death”. Inspired by dramatic events, Marco wrote most of the songs while recovering from a serious blood clot. ”There’s a level of self-reflection present throughout the album”, explains Marco, ”it can be heard most clearly on songs like ’Life & Me’ and ’Home to You’.” 
The album opens up with ”Hook”, a 3-minute thunder punch about a zombie pirate. The second track, the folk-inspired punk anthem ”The New Dark Ages”, shows the level of diversity that the album contains. Life & Death is a mixed bag, varying in style but full of great music.
