The Leif Ericsson

The Leif Ericsson was a Punk Rock band from Stockport, Manchester, Stoke and The Lake District, UK. About 4 years in the making, the debut album stalwarts The Leif Ericsson was worth the wait. The self titled release contained 11 (+ 3 bonus) blasts of utterly brilliant punk rock. Like many UK (and Gainesville) bands before, "The Leif Ericsson" took their musical queues from Snuff and Leatherface but added an anthemic quality that also brought to mind the finest in 80s UK punk. The Snuff influence in particular ran more than skin-deep as singer/guitarist Will Farley also moonlit in Duncan Redmonds' Billy No Mates band.
