Barney Army

Barney Army is Street Punk/Oi! band from Mecklenburg, Germany. After the departure of singer Matti from the "GUMBLES", the remaining members decided to continue the legacy of the band, which had been successful for over 20 years. Renamed "Barney Army" (one of the most iconic Gumbles songs) and with new singer Paul, the band returned in 2020 with the mini-LP "Ein Kleines Bißchen Oi!-Punk!". Three years later, they have finally released their brand new album "Nimm's... BA-Positiv", because the "Barney Army" virus is not easy to get rid of. Pogo-suitable crowd-pleasers meet melodic singalong anthems ranging from smart to hard, which immediately get stuck in the ear canals. Sometimes with a finger in the wound of society, sometimes below the belt with the typical North German humour and lots of fun and joy of playing. The "new beginning" has done the band noticeably good and has not only raised the popular Gumbles sound to a new level in terms of playing. Barney Army are simply fun, but they are by no means just a fun band!
