Pempti Kasta

 

Pempti Kasta is a Greek Oi!/Street Punk band from Thessaloniki. 

Pempti Kasta are definitely not newcomers to the Greek punk scene. The band, which moves between Oi!, Street Punk and Hardcore Punk, always have gone for a simple approach. ("Quality over quantity.")

Pempti Kasta talk about violence, a lost and divided generation, street conflicts and the influence of social media. The picture of weekend streets full of violence is accompanied by criticism of a world where everyone seems to be king on the internet, while reality around them is increasingly getting out of control.

In their tracks more nostalgia and memories of being young, the streets, punk rock and places that people once considered home. The lyrics talk about a wasted generation, outsiders and people who refused to sell themselves out, but ended up “young and screwed” anyway.
