Street Value

 

Street Value is (was?) an Oi!/Street Punk band from Los Angeles, California, USA.

Officially started sometime in the middle of 2011, Street Value began shortly after the demise of Crucial Infantry. A few practices with C.I. members Jake Puke on vocals, David on guitar, and Jerry on drums with Jason Misfit (who was/is playing bass for original East LA Punk band The Stains) were had before some lineup changes. PR Scott was recruited for drums and this is the lineup that begin to play shows under the Street Value banner. They made a shitty demo that no one liked and played some good shows, with the likes of Neighborhood Watch, Battalion of Saints, Total Chaos, and others. Shortly after the beginning of 2012, like any other good dysfunctional Punk Rock band, it was time for more lineup changes. Jason got arrested, and due to the lack of musicians worth a fuck that weren't already taken, Jake switched to bass and vocals. PR Scott left the drums to be replaced by old C.I. bassist Billy. This lineup solidified the Street Value sound and continues to work hard and stand strong, playing what they can get, and playing real street music for street people...
