Talk Sick

When most people hear the word 'Punk', they think about four sloppy chords played at breakneck speed. When people hear the word 'Metal', the first thing that comes to mind are amazing musical skill and long, beautiful Viking hair. Talk-Sick combines the frenzied, chaotic pace of Punk Rock with the technical proficiency of Metal, without any of the theatrical nonsense (Though, we kinda wish we could grow Viking hair). Talk Sick is an aggressive, fast, melodic band that sings about anything they find absurd with the world today, and puts on a no bullshit live show with no banter and rarely any stops during a 16-song set. What also sets them apart is the fact that there are 3 lead singers, each with distinctive ranges, creating a completely unique vocal style. Originally formed in Halifax in 2006, and stationed in Montreal since 2008, Talk Sick has played with the likes of Dayglo Abortions, SNFU, The Ripcordz, Macabre, The Casualties, and The Flatliners, in different venues across Canada. ", Genetics" marks the 2nd full length for the band, previously releasing "Waste" in 2007 and the 7 inch "Wish You Were Beer" in 2009. As for upcoming shows, Talk Sick will be opening for Dayglo Abortions on April 28th in Montreal, The Dwarves and The Meatmen at Pouzza Fest on May 18th in Montreal, and a cross Canadian tour is in the works for the summer of 2012.
