Claw Hammer was a U.S. avant Blues/Punk/Rock group from 1987 to 2000. Claw Hammer formed in 1987 in Long Beach, California; its members were from several neighboring municipalities. Their band name was taken from a Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band song.
