The Dirty Babies

The Dirty Babies began in 2001 with the original line up of Jaime, Rick (R.I.P.), Lenny, and Kei. They played stripped-down, ballsy punk rock in the spirit of the bands who inspired them... DMZ, the Sonics, New York Dolls, Stooges, 13th Floor Elevators, Ramones, Joneses, and Dictators to name just a few. Rick left the band in late '03 and was replaced by Brew, who had just moved to Las Vegas from Austin. Rick always stayed very close to us in spirit though... helping us out wherever he could. 2004 was a good year for us... writing new songs, playing regularly in Las Vegas and occasionally in Arizona, and recording many demos and our one and only album. 2005 was a different story. Things kinda fell apart for some very personal reasons and we decided to call it an early day in September of that year, but now the dust has settled. Though the band probably won't ever re-form... you never know when a reunion show or 2 or 3 might pop up. Stay tuned.....
