Supergrupa'81

Supergrupa'81 is a Street Punk band from Lodz, Poland, founded by guitarist Piotr Jełowicki, which gives old Punk anthems a completely new character. The band was inspired by the book ‘Oi! Oi! Oi! To Punk From The City Of Lodz’, written by Piotr Bugs Wawrzak and Dariusz Jędrasiak. The formation is completed by the drummer of the legendary Lodz band ‘Brak’ Leonard Kuba Jakubowski.

"Revitalizacja (Revitalisation)" is a Punk album that pays homage to the heritage of the genre from the early 1980s. The album features found, archival tracks from old cassettes. As well as tracks from bands co-founded by the musicians of Supergroup ‘81, such as Reserve Labour Army, No Future and Parliament, there are also songs from the repertoire of Moscow, NJ Insects, Detonator and Phantom, among others.  These once youthful compositions have become anthems, sung by the current generation. Powerful guitar riffs, energetic drums, low growling bass and passionate vocals, create a powerful wall of sound that doesn't let anyone sit still. The compositional eclecticism, combined with the personalities of the musicians, has created an explosive mix that can barely be put on one album. The lyrics, which are over 40 years old actually written by children, are still relevant and fit like a glove for today's times. This is not just another Punk album - it's a real surprise for fans of the genre.
