Oiskank

Oiskank were Oi!/Street  band from Lyon, France. Start in October 1985 first in solo, HB Vocals / Guitar / Bass / Rhythm box will be accompanied by Fred on guitar from April 1986. Then the duo will be accompanied by Luc for the choirs from October 1986. Separated in 1987. In 1990, HB and Fred reformed Oiskank, and released several recordings. Oiskank quite stand out from other bands by using piano (for example instrumental and very cheerful song Offenburg Ska). You can also hear ska rhythms in songs like Un Jour Meilleur, Cette Fille or Le Tourbillon. Despite the use of Ska rhythms, the band's sound is quite dark. However, the band can also play harder pieces that we are used to (like Revanche or Jamais) or even faster Punk songs (Libre Expression or Generation 80 - where you can hear the saxophone). The band experiments quite a bit with different guitar and drum sounds and overall rhythmics. French Oi! is probably not for everyone and this band is very specific.
