American Static

Take some early 80s American Hardcore, a fistful of The Clash and early Rancid, some traditional American roots music and a big shot of working class attitude. Throw it all in a blender and press Annihilate. American Static was formed in 1997 in Grass Valley, CA originally under the name The Roustabouts. After 7 years, several line-ups and a name change, they are finally prepared to take Punk Rock by storm. Always looking to push the envelope and create something fresh and new, American Static are poised and ready to make a dent in the eardrum of the music world. With tons of compilation appearances including the Backstreets of American Oi! Vol.2 Double CD on Street Anthem Records, the TKO records Sacto Scene Report (under their old moniker Roustabouts) and tons of shows on the west coast playing with every band imaginable, their debut full length, "Soundtrack To The Struggle" was released on Street Anthem Records in January of 2004. They are now backing to using the name The Roustabouts to confuse you more.
