Rackham's Revenge
Rackham's Revenge is a 77' styled Street Punk rock band from Bad Reichenhall, Germany. The band, at first called The Capsized, was founded in the beginning of 2004 in the small town Bad Reichenhall, which is in the heart of upper bavaria. After a short period with different guest musicians, the right constellation of band members was found, and they started to make music in the 77' style, inspired by bands like “Voice Of A Generation” and “U.S. Bombs”. In the winter of 2005 they changed their name to Rackham's Revenge due to a mysterious wave of Capsized band foundations. In a brief period of time and because of a convincing live performance they had the honour to share the stage with internationally known bands like Radio Dead Ones, Mad Sin, Los Fastidios and Peter Pan Speedrock. Now only an album was missing and of course more concerts. Their self-titled debut album was released on May 2007. How can you describe Rackham's Revenge? There are many different influences that are contained in our sound. You can find Ska respectively Ska Punk roots in our earlier songs, but now it's exclusively Street Punk from the early nineties as well as 77' Punk Rock. The lyrics are mostly socialcritic but there is also the classic rock'n'roll hymn with the catchy refrain. Rackham’s Revenge’s self-titled debut album is a great mixture of Street Punk, 77' Punk and a little bit of dirty Ska.
